Our resident Behaviourist and Obedience Instructor Emma Aguado has recently been awarded accreditation as a Master Dog Trainer with the Guild of Dog Trainers (MGoDT) please visit the following website for further information on this organisation www.godt.org.uk
Emma has been with Old Clayton for the past six years. Since establishing the training centre in 2006 she has successfully helped train hundreds of owners and their dogs through the variety of services she offers.
A member of the Professional Association of Applied Canine Trainers (PAACT), Emma also has accredited courses in Canine Psychology and is a qualified Obedience Instructor. She has a vast amount of experience working daily with Old Clayton rescue dogs and private clients with a range of behavioural needs.
If you are experiencing any type of problem behaviour with your dog, or would simply like to find a professional and fun environment to attend regular classes and meet other dog owners, please contact Emma to discuss your training options.
We do not accept any form of training method that will inflict pain on a dog this includes the use of chain collars and shock collars. Dogs must be comfortable and feel safe in order for training to be effective. Emma is committed to following the standards set out by the GoDT and welcomes people to view classes and the training facilities at any time.

We use kind, reward based training methods and our small class sizes ensure each dog gets the attention they need to progress successfully with their training.
We stock a wide range of healthy treats, toys and training aids. The training team can offer guidance on nutrition and behaviour and we stock the natural high quality dog food, Burns in the training school.
We offer an extensive range of training equipment and the various options can be discussed with a member of the team, our range of hand made leather and brass training collars and leads have proved to be a popular and effective tool for training on a daily basis.

Current vaccinations are compulsory and vaccination cards must be shown in reception at the start of each course.
